Six Steps for Installing Linear Bearings

1. Before installing the linear bearing, it is necessary to remove the burrs, dirt, and surface scars on the mechanical installation surface. The linear bearing is coated with anti rust oil. Before installation, please clean the reference surface with cleaning oil before installation. Usually, the reference surface is prone to rust after removing the anti rust oil. It is recommended to apply lubricating oil to the spindle with lower viscosity.

2. Gently place the linear bearing on the bed and use lateral fixing screws or other fixtures to gently fit the line rail with the lateral mounting surface. Before installation and use, it is necessary to confirm whether the screw holes match. If the processing holes on the base do not match and the bolts are forcibly locked, it will greatly affect the combination accuracy and quality of use.

3. Tighten the positioning screws of the linear bearing in sequence from the center to both sides, so that the track fits the vertical installation surface. Starting from the center position and tightening towards both ends can achieve relatively stable accuracy. After slightly tightening the vertical reference plane, strengthen the locking force of the lateral reference plane, so that the linear bearing can effectively fit the lateral reference plane.

4. Use a torque wrench to lock the torque one by one according to various materials, and slowly tighten the positioning screws of the linear bearing slide rail.

5. Install the auxiliary rail using the same installation method, and install individual sliding seats onto the main and auxiliary rails. Note that after installing the linear slide rail on the slide seat, many subsequent accessories cannot be installed due to limited installation space. Therefore, all necessary accessories must be installed together at this stage.

6. Gently position the mobile platform onto the sliding seats of the main and auxiliary rails of the linear bearing, and then lock the lateral forcing screws on the mobile platform. After installation and positioning, it can be completed.
